A minute with Alexandra Krstic English teacher

Where do you live?
Old town Nicosia, with my mother and my two brothers

Best childhood memory?
When our parents surprised us with a cruise in the Greek islands

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
Silver pot and I like the chargrilled pork fillet dish! The only food I do not like to eat is okra (lady’s fingers)

What did you have for breakfast?
Sandwich, biscuits and coffee

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
I think am both, depending on my mood. A good day is when you go out of town for an excursion to the beach or the mountains. A good night is when you go out with friends and dance till the morning.

Best book ever read?
That’s a hard one. If I had to choose though I would say, Amulet by Roberto Bolaño.

Favourite film of all time?
Only Lovers Left Alive. Mainly because of how fitting was the soundtrack with the movie.

Favourite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
I think Greece. And my dream trip would be to travel around Latin America.

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Beatles playing from the Radio

What is always in your fridge?
Ketchup

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Urban dwelling because I enjoy the city life but I would definitely like to have a holiday house in the mountains.

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Roberto Bolaño, I admire his prose and I’m sure he was an amazing conversationalist.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Panic, then gather all the people I love so we can panic together with a lot of booze by the beach

What is your greatest fear?
Death

Tell me a joke…
I can’t think of anything at the moment
