Upgrading University of Nicosia-Israel cooperation

The University of Nicosia and Israel are further upgrading their relations in the areas of higher education and local government. In a recent visit to Israel, Nicos Kartakoullis, president of the council of the University of Nicosia, held the third of a series of presentations in the 2018-2019 two-year period, to local government officials and sports executives from Israel. Presentations are part of the Israeli training programme for local government and sport/tourism and are being carried out in collaboration with the University of Nicosia with the Centre for Sports Medicine, Science and Methodology of the Academic College at Wingate.

Two 20-member Israeli officials will be visiting Cyprus and the University within the next two months.

Additionally, at the end of March, 20 mayors from Israel are expected to visit the University of Nicosia to monitor the three-day training programme for the development of local government, sport and sports tourism by local government officials.
