An incredibly dangerous precedent

The fine levied on the unnamed woman for calling people who adopted Asian children Idiots is an incredibly dangerous precedent. Free speech is the voicing of one’s opinions and if the PC brigade get away with this, we are even further down Orwell’s road to 1984. The American constitution enshrines freedom of speech, thus Americans can vigorously protest and rail against their leaders which is healthy in a democracy.

The danger of denying free speech is that it is like squeezing a balloon. Sooner or later there is going to be an explosion. Your own ‘Tales from the Coffeeshop’ is certainly in the crosshairs, so be careful what you sow as it may come back with teeth.
