Police in Limassol arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with the possession of 10 kilos of cannabis, which was sent through the post.

He was remanded in custody on Wednesday for eight days by the Limassol district court.

After police received information there were drugs in two postal parcels arriving from abroad, on Tuesday a controlled delivery was arranged during which a 39-year-old company owner and his 31-year-old employee were arrested.

The parcels contained 10 kilos of cannabis.

The employee was released as no evidence was found against her.
