A 25-year-old was remanded for eight days on suspicion of attacking a 22-year-old and 24-year-old in Larnaca on Sunday, stealing a sum of €1,850.

According to the police, just before noon on Sunday, two men aged 22 and 24 went to a house in Larnaca to pick up some friends by car.

As they were waiting outside the house, they were attacked by three people who beat them and stole a total of €1,850 that the 22-year-old was carrying.

The complainants told police that two of the attackers were wielding a knife, while the third was carrying a piece of wood.

The back windshield of the car they were in was damaged, police said.
