Flu death toll reaches seven

Two more people have died from type A influenza, bringing the toll to seven.

The latest victim was a 75-year-old woman who died at Limassol general hospital. She had been transferred there from Paphos a few days ago.

The woman, who had underlying health problems, was admitted to the ICU but died on Wednesday.

Earlier, reports said a 34-year-old man died in Larnaca from respiratory failure. The man had been hospitalised three days earlier. He did not appear to have any other underlying issues.
