In the run up to Valentine’s Day prepare for a week of love-themed events. Jumping on the romance wagon is a musical happening in Paphos at Technopolis 20. After the success of the piano recital for four hands Café au Lait, piano duo Leoni Hadjithoma and Borislav Alexandrov return on Sunday, February 17 for a romantic programme with classical works that speak about love.
As in the previous recital, 20 fingers, a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake will accompany a journey that will wake up all your senses.
“Have you ever been to a classical music concert and been allowed to eat and drink while watching the performance? In most cases, that’s strictly forbidden! But we don’t mind!” says Technopolis 20.
The two pianists have been collaborating since 2002, including participation in festivals and giving recitals in Europe and the Middle East. They often collaborate with orchestras in Cyprus and abroad performing piano concertos for two pianos.
In addition, they often give educational concerts for schools in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Their repertoire includes works by Mozart, Schubert, Liszt, Brahms and Rachmaninoff as well as many contemporary composers.
