Man in work fall dies in hospital

An elderly man who was in serious condition in Nicosia hospital after falling from a height of three metres last week has died, reports said on Wednesday.

Yiannis Ioannou, 76, fell while he was laying tiles in a block of apartments in Kato Paphos at around 11.30am on Friday.

The 76-year-old was first taken to Paphos hospital by ambulance but later transferred to Nicosia general hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
