Overflowing rivers are causing problems on the roads in the Paphos district leaving behind landslides and slippery surfaces.

As a result, the police have announced the following roads are closed: Ayios Nikolas-Pera Vasas, Jelefos Bridge, Kelokedaron-Amagetis-Nata, Zipirilli bridge, Salamiou-Galataria, Panayia Sidi bridge, Ayios Nikolas-Matria, Episkopi-Nata and Peyia-Akoursos.

Slipper roads are: Ayios Nikolas-Kaminari and Stavrokonno-Filousa.

Part of the Paphos to Limassol highway also remains closed from the Pissouri exit to the Avdimou exit because of mud and rocks and the road caused by a landslide. Traffic is being diverted onto the old road.

In addition, roadworks are being carried out until 2.30 on the Limassol-Paphos highway at the junctions of Erimi, Kantou, Episkopi, Avdimou and Pissouri, where work is being carried out on the lighting. These works will continue on Friday and will close sections of the inside lane.
