Man charged for cycling under the influence

A cyclist who was riding his bike while drunk has been charged and released.

According to the police, traffic police in Paphos stopped the 53-year-old cyclist during a routine check on Icarus street at 2.35 on Sunday morning.

An alcotest showed a reading of 81μg, whereas the limit is 22.

Later on Sunday morning the man was charged in writing at Paphos traffic police headquarters to appear before court at a later date.
