Although higher than normal temperatures are expected for Green Monday, people should make the most of them as winter weather is set to return later in the week.
On Monday the temperature is set to reach 22C inland, 20C on the coast and 15C on higher ground.
However by Tuesday afternoon clouds will gather with even the chance of rain in the evening.
On Wednesday it will be cloudy with local rainfall, isolated storms and even snow on the higher ground. A fall in temperatures will come with it.
The rains are expected to see Kalavasos dam overflow by the middle of the week, and possibly those of Evretou and Kannaviou.
The rain this winter has not only felt incessant, but since November 21 until March 4 the longest period without any rain was four days, Kitas Weather reported. The dams are currently 78.6 per cent full, while at the same time last year they were just 23.4 per cent.
The level of water that has run into the reservoirs over the last year is also a record, as was the month of January.
