Firemen rescue driver from overturned car

Firemen on Friday rescued a man from a trapped vehicle which had overturned when the ground gave way under his car.

The car, a Honda HRV, landed upside down, 10 metres below a road near Ayios Ioannis Malountas in the Nicosia district.

The vehicle was lifted and turned with the help of a telescopic forklift.

The driver who was not injured was taken to Klirou general hospital as a precaution.
