Global competition for Startups

It’s an exciting month for entrepreneurs and new businesses with two Startup Europe Week events having passed earlier in the week and another global event taking place in Cyprus in late March. The Startup World Cup and Summit is the world’s largest contest involving speakers and is supported by Fenox VC, a US venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley. It invites new businesses, corporations and investors to conferences and competitions.

Cherry-picked startups worldwide will first compete at regional events, and the regional finalists will showcase themselves at the Grand Finale event in San Francisco and compete for a $1,000,000 investment prize. Events happen all around the world in Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and Australia.

Oktonex Ltd (part of Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC) in cooperation with Puzzle Design Ltd are bringing the competition to Cyprus for the first time on Friday at the Trakasol centre in Limassol. The competition aims to promote and develop new business activities, giving contestants the opportunity to promote their ideas and business plans to investors not only in the Cypriot market but also in the global business world.

“This is where everyone who wants to make their dream come true and win a ticket to the world of business and professional recognition can participate,” says Socrates Ellinas of Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC.

Participation will give entrepreneurs not only the chance to take part in the $1 million Grand Finale in San Francisco on May 17 but also the half-a-million-dollar competition in Prague on April 10. In addition to the participants, anyone wishing to attend the competition will be able to confirm their reservation and pay the ticket at the pre-determined prices.
