Where do you live?
I am living with my course-mate Eirini Ignatiadi in Cardiff at the moment, completing my 5th and final year in the Welsh School of Architecture.

Best childhood memory?
Skipping stones (or at least trying to) on water with my dad in Palm Beach by the dolphin statues.

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
A hidden wine bar in London called 40 Maltby Street. Their menu changes every week but absolutely love everything they make. My favourite food is dolma and kleftiko which I miss greatly when I am in the UK! I don’t dislike any food as long as it is made with love and care 

What did you have for breakfast?
Yoghurt, oats, honey and almonds with cinnamon.

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
As with most architecture students, night. Meeting friends over some wine and nibbles or a coffee in the sun.

Best book ever read?
Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. It is a magical book and it tells a story of a traveller (Marco Polo) who had left his city (Venice) never to go back and yet sees Venice in every place he visits saying “the more one was lost in unfamiliar quarters of distant cities the more one understood the other cities he had crossed to arrive there.” I guess it has touched me because I related to it myself.

Favourite film of all time?
An animation about the Iran revolution called Persepolis.

Favourite holiday destination?
Italy. Coffee, food, architecture, art, weather, people… what else does one need?

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Mashrou Leila is my recent favourite!

What is always in your fridge?
Tomatoes, hellim (halloumi) and yogurt.

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Both is good with me as long as it gets plenty of daylight. London or somewhere by the sea in the Mediterranean would be the dream.

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
The Swiss architect, Peter Zumthor. I am in love with his works.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Have a nice meal and watch the sunset by the sea.

What is your greatest fear?
Heights.

Tell me a joke…
Rene Descartes walks into a bar. The bartender says, “Would you like a beer?”
Descartes replies “I think not” and promptly disappears.
