Limassol floods as rains continue (v)

Rain, storms and even hail and snow are set to continue to hit the island for the rest of the day on Saturday, the Met office announced as areas of Limassol were flooded.

By this evening though the weather will have calmed down and it will remain clear overnight, although winds are expected to continue and the sea will be rough.

On Sunday the weather will be mainly fine with temperatures hitting 18C inland and 8C in the mountains.

The good weather is set to continue on Monday Tuesday with warm temperatures above the average for this time of year although on Wednesday clouds are set to gather again.

The depth of the snow in Troodos Square on Saturday morning was 25cm.
