Hooded, armed men rob Larnaca bakery

Three hooded men armed with a pistol got away with €500 from a bakery in Larnaca early Friday morning.

According to police, the men entered the bakery in Papanikolis street at 3.50am, wearing grey tracksuits. They were hooded and their faces were covered.

One of them reportedly stayed at the entrance, the second approached the employee and the third, armed with a pistol, grabbed €500 in banknotes and coins from the cash register.

They then fled in an unknown direction.

The employee was not able to describe the perpetrators, but their actions were recorded by a surveillance camera at the premises which police will check.

It has not been established whether the pistol was fake.
