Due to a low-pressure system in the region, unstable weather is set to continue on Monday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms around the island.

Hail may also fall in some areas.

The maximum temperature is forecast to be 20C inland, 18C near the coast and 6C in the higher mountains.

In the evening, clear skies are expected, with only some elevated clouds. The lowest temperatures are 7C around Nicosia, 10C in coastal areas and 2C in Troodos.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it will initially be sunny but in the afternoons, clouds will build up, and more isolated rain and storms are a possibility, especially inland and in the mountains.

Temperatures will remain at the same levels which are close to average for the time of year.

The level of water in the reservoirs has reached 84.2 per cent on average.
