Remand for female robbery suspect in Larnaca

Larnaca Court

A 19-year-old woman was remanded by the Larnaca court for eight days on Thursday in connection with a robbery, and the theft of a mobile phone and a tablet, offences she allegedly committed on March 27 and April 3 in Larnaca.

According to police, a 59-year-old owner of a Larnaca kiosk reported that shortly after 4am on March 27, two people who had their faces covered entered the kiosk.

One of them pulled a knife while the other one opened the cash register and took €480 before they both fled.

One was reportedly wearing black clothes while the second one, apparently a woman, wore light-coloured leggings.

The arrested teenager is suspected of having stolen a phone and a tablet from a place she was staying in Larnaca on Wednesday.

After she was arrested for this offence, she admitted her involvement in the kiosk robbery in March, police said.
