Rain and storms expected, cooler weather until Friday  

With a low-pressure system affecting the area, rain and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, especially at midday and in the afternoons.

Dust levels, which have been slightly elevated during the past few days, are expected to gradually subside.

The highest temperatures on Tuesday are going to be 23C around Nicosia, 21C in coastal areas and 15C in the higher mountains.

At night, they will drop to 3C in Troodos, 8C inland and 10 to 12C at the coast.

Cooler weather is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, but temperatures will rise again on Friday.

For Thursday, just a few scattered showers have been forecast, and by Friday the skies will be mainly clear with only a few clouds.
