Rain returns to the island for next few days

Rain showers are expected to hit the island over the next few days, while the possibility of thunderstorms has not been ruled out.

Dust levels which were extremely high on the east coast on Sunday subsided by Monday morning.

Cloudy and rainy weather has been forecast for Monday, with temperatures rising to 24C inland, 21 near the coast and 14C in the higher mountains.

Temperatures will be slightly lower on Tuesday, rise again on Wednesday and remain at the same levels on Thursday.

Though clear skies will prevail in the mornings on Wednesday and Thursday, clouds will build up in the afternoons and some isolated rain may fall.
