Cashier from Limassol district office remanded after theft allegations

A 62-year-old cashier from the Limassol district administration was remanded for six days on Wednesday after she was arrested in connection with the alleged misappropriation of €15,000.

According to police, a witness reported she did not record the receipts for the money.

The money went missing between March 1 and April 16. Audits will be carried out to determine if more money was taken.

She made some statements which are being investigated.

The woman was arrested on Tuesday evening.
