EAC says no homes will be cut off over Easter

The Electricity Authority (EAC) announced on Friday that regardless of any outstanding sums by households, it will not cut power over Easter.

The EAC said that between April 22 and May 1 no household will be left without with electricity.

Households whose electricity has been cut due to outstanding sums can apply for reconnection at any EAC customer service centre, the announcement said.

The application will be considered according to the ability of the client to join a repayment plan, the EAC said, noting that those who have been found stealing power are excluded from reconnection.
