Unwanted pregnancies happen, even if it isn’t rape (web)

Even if it isn’t rape, unwanted pregnancies happen. If a woman isn’t able to bring a child into the world for whatever reason, she will seek an abortion.

Abortion being legal doesn’t impose that choice on pro-life people. Abortion being illegal however imposes a criminal record for someone who is pro-choice because they resort to illegal and dangerous abortions. Can you see where I’m getting at?

And by the way, I am in no way suggesting that a woman should be irresponsible and seek an abortion as a primary method of “contraception”. Every step should be taken with common contraception methods to prevent the need for an abortion in the first place because abortion itself is also a traumatising thing even for a woman who willingly does it.

The point is to have that option available when needed.
