Yellow warning issued for Wednesday temperatures

The met office has issued a yellow warning for extremely high temperatures on Wednesday, when it is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius inland.

The yellow warning covers the period between 11am and 4pm.

The met office called on members of the public to keep themselves informed of the expected high temperatures and warned of possible health risks to vulnerable groups of the population such as the elderly and small children.
