Alternative music festivals in July

As the summer settles in July brings with it more festivals, concerts and parties. The first couple of music festivals coming up this month have varied music from numerous genres, pleasing all sorts.

Into the Limbo doesn’t really need an introduction as it’s been around for eight years and as it is possibly the only big psychedelic stoner rock music event, it’s hard to forget about. Held every year at Ayios Sozomenos village, the festival transforms the abandoned site to a stage rave with loud music and lighting effects.

To be held on July 13, five bands are set to perform. They are Stoned Jesus from Ukraine, Cowboys & Aliens from Belgium, Automation from Greece and the Cypriot Cactus Cult and Monk Fx. Presale tickets are €17 and you can get them from New Division, Magos Record Shop, Savino rock bar, Tapper and Rebello bar.

Later on in the month, on July 25-28, the Loud Music Festival will take over Limassol’s Potamos Germasogias. In its sixth edition, LMF will run over four days for the first time. More than 40 local DJs and bands will entertain the crowds for free. Known Cypriot music groups like Muse and Papagion will perform alongside popular DJs such as Manic Mike and ASMO BROS. There are far too many artists involved in the festival to mention so it’s best to follow LMF’s announcements on the Facebook event.
