Biker in serious condition after accident

A 40-year-old biker is in serious condition in hospital after a traffic accident on Wednesday evening in Limassol.

At around 10.30pm, the man lost control of his motorbike and was thrown to the ground while the bike overturned and hit a parked car.

The injured man was transferred to a private clinic where he was diagnosed with internal bleeding, a kidney artery separation, cranial and rib fractures and a lung contusion.

He was moved to Nicosia general hospital where he is being treated in the intensive care unit.

Doctors reported he is in serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
