Island set to sizzle as Met Office issues yellow weather warning

The Met Office on Sunday issued a yellow weather warning with temperatures inland set to rise as high as 40C.

The warning is in place from 11am to 4pm.

According to the Kitas weather portal, temperatures in Nicosia are expected to hover around 40C for the whole week, although they are set to be marginally lower after Wednesday.
