Man attempting to travel with fake passport caught at Larnaca airport

A 32-year-old man attempting to travel from Larnaca to Amsterdam with a fake passport was caught on Tuesday night by airport police.

The man, of Iranian nationality, presented a Latvian passport during passport control.

Police investigations found that the passport presented by the 32-year-old was reported stolen in November 2018.

The man is expected to appear before the Larnaca district court later on Wednesday.
