President Nicos Anastasiades will be meeting UN special envoy Jane Holl Lute on Sunday in Nicosia, it emerged on Monday.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, the meeting was arranged on Monday afternoon. Lute is expected on the island on Saturday.

Lute will also meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci on Sunday afternoon. She is scheduled to depart on Monday evening.

In their first meeting since February, on August 9, Anastasiades and Akinci said they would continue to work with a United Nations envoy.

The two leaders decided to continue engaging in the efforts undertaken with the determination to finalise the terms of reference that would enable structured and results-oriented negotiations leading to a settlement with a sense of urgency.
