Man critical after being stabbed in Ayia Napa

Police on Tuesday were investigating a brawl in Ayia Napa involving eight people during which a man was critically injured after he was stabbed.

According to initial reports, four people were injured in the dawn incident and taken to Famagusta general hospital.

One man, 26, was stabbed in the stomach and underwent surgery. He is said to be in critical condition.

Two other men, 24 and 26, are being treated in hospital while a fourth, another 26-year-old man, was released as he had only minor injuries.
