Teacher remanded after sexual harassment claim

A teacher was arrested in Paphos and remanded into custody for eight days on Saturday after a 16-year-old girl claimed he sexually harassed her.

According to authorities, the girl claimed the teacher harassed outside of school in an area used for physical education.

The teacher, who denies any involvement, was arrested following the complaint filed by the girl, and he was taken to Paphos district court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody.
