It’s Movember for The Cyprus Rugby Federation, a time for players and members alike to show strength and solidarity for this important cause.
Over the years, it has become a tradition for men to participate in the growing of moustaches, in order to raise awareness of issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide.
Movember is a leading charity aimed at reducing premature deaths in men, a cause the Mouflons, the Cyprus Rugby players, are eagerly joining forces to help with.
This year is no different, with some healthy competition sprouting as readily as the players’ moustaches. We are sure to witness players, ex-players, coaching staff and committee members all fighting to grow the most impressive tash.
Yet, just as the five o’clock shadow falls, the lack of awareness on these key issues also causes our hearts to fall, with one player poignantly identifying Movember as “a charity very close to my heart. One that any guy can take part in without cost, raising awareness and gaining valuable funding for such a great cause.”
I invite all men reading this to please participate and support the amazing charity. For anyone wishing to donate please click on the following link https://moteam.co/cyprus-rugby
The players will be adding their respective profiles to the site.
