A large fire that broke out in an area between the Paphos villages of Mesoyi and Tsada extinguished three hours later, fire services spokesman Andreas Kettis said on Saturday.
There was also an earlier fire between Tala and Emba, in Paphos on Saturday, which was extinguished within two hours.
Kettis added the fire near Tsada broke out at approximately 3pm and was in an area difficult to reach by land vehicles, necessitating the intervention of four aircraft. Six fire trucks, and two excavators were also at the scene.
The fire burned 50,000 square metres of wild brush, dry grass, and reeds near a riverbed.
Kettis said trucks would remain in the area to deal with any flare-ups.
