German foreign minister to visit Cyprus, Greece – reports

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas addresses an event

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas is expected to visit Nicosia and Athens on Tuesday, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Saturday, though there has been no official announcement yet.

Reports in Berlin said the German diplomat would be visiting Nicosia on Tuesday morning for talks with President Nicos Anastasiades and Foreign Minister Nicos Christodoulides.

The information was neither confirmed nor denied by a foreign ministry spokesman, the agency said.

Official confirmation is expected during the government press briefing on Monday.

The report did not rule out Maas also visiting Ankara.
