Police launch man hunt after shots fired in the air

Paphos police are investigating a case of using a gun to terrorise, illegal possession and transport of a gun and the threat of violence.

According to the police, an incident took place at about 1.30am on Sunday in the Ayios Georgios Mammonion village.

A guest reacted strongly to a remark made by a homeowner, who asked him not to throw bottles in the street.

A 37 year at who was at a party at a house in the community, while drunk started shouting, only to go back inside and return with a hunting gun.

He fired two shots into the air before leaving the area.

Police have issued a warrant for his arrest.
