Coronavirus: eight new admissions to Famagusta General, 20 people in hospital

The number of patients with Covid-19 being treated at the Famagusta General Hospital has risen to 20 with eight new admissions between Saturday and Sunday, CNA reported.

The new admissions were made between Saturday afternoon and 10am Sunday morning. So far no one is in the ICU.

Two people were discharged from the hospital on Saturday after completing treatment and testing negative for the virus.

The Eden Resort Rehabilitation Centre, in Tersefanou, is currently accommodating 50 positive cases who are being quarantined.

Cases have spiked to record levels in the past week, starting with a massive 104 cases on Thursday, 94 on Friday and 202 on Saturday.
