Coronavirus: 66 charges for violating measures

Police charged 66 people and businesses in the 24 hours to Sunday morning for violating measures to protect against the spread of coronavirus.

In total, from 1,400 checks a total of 62 people and four businesses were charged.

In Nicosia 303 checks saw 22 people charged; in Limassol 262 checks saw 14 people charged; and in Larnaca 214 checks saw two people and one business charged.

In Paphos 131 checks resulted in three people and two businesses charged, while in Famagusta 380 checks saw 21 people and one business charged.

In Morphou 112 checks saw no charges.
