A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday while two further youngsters, aged 20 and 21, are being sought in connection with a robbery in Larnaca on Saturday night where suspects pretended to be police officers.

According to a report, while she was at home at about 8pm on Saturday a 36-year-old woman said three people wearing civilian clothes knocked on the door, said they were policemen and asked to come in.

The woman allowed them in but when she asked to see their police IDs they asked for money and managed to steal €1,500, a mobile phone and a tablet before fleeing.

During the incident the woman tried to flee the apartment when one of the suspects pushed her although she was not injured.

She had described the suspects as being aged around 35.
