Firefighters train to tackle tower block blazes

The new fire truck with equipment that can extend 60 metres

The fire service is carrying out a training exercise in Limassol on Friday morning, police announced.

The exercise, starting at 9am and finishing at 1pm, will take place in the parking space of the Tsirio stadium.

During the training, the firefighters will be trained in how to operate the new telescopic firefighting equipment which can extend up to 60 metres.

The truck will be used for firefighting and rescue purposes in tall buildings.
