Coronavirus: two infants being treated, rapid testing continues islandwide

Two infants are being treated at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia for coronavirus, reports said on Sunday.
According to Cybc, a 10-month-old boy from Limassol who displayed Covid symptoms was transferred from Limassol hospital to Makarios on Saturday.

His condition is said to be not serious.

The second baby being treated is one month old from Nicosia. No details on the infant’s condition were available.

Rapid testing continued islandwide on Sunday in all districts through mobile units.

People can get tested at the following spots:

Nicosia: GSP stadium Lefkotheo stadiums parking lot until 6pm.

Larnaca: GSZ stadium, parking lots A and B until 6pm.

Limassol: Spyros Kyprianou stadium car park Points A and B until 6pm, the Glafcos Clerides car park on Americanas Street in Germagsoyia until 6pm, the parking lot at the municipal marker until 6pm, the parking lot behind the social security offices and land registry buildings on Franklin Roosevelt Street, until 6pm and the testing station at the former Pissarides, again until 6pm.

Paphos: the Stelios Kyriakides stadium parking Points A and B until 6pm.

Famagusta: The parking lot at the Tassos Markos stadium until 6pm

The results are sent within 36 hours by SMS and email.

People who wish to be tested must have with them an ID card, a sampling form that was filled in online at: https://covid19.nipd.com/transitions.php, a certificate of employment or a signed certificate of circulation by their employer: https://bit.ly/2UAJbP1, or a certificate of movement stating the residence address of the examinee and the work address.

According to NIPD Genetics “without all of the above, free sampling cannot take place”.
