North records 17 new Covid cases

Seventeen new Covid-19 cases were reported in the north on Saturday.

In a written statement, ‘health minister’ Ali Pilli said that the 17 new cases were detected from a total of 1,322 tests.

Ten were passengers who arrived in the north by plane, one through the port. The remainder were found within the community.

The total number of people infected with Covid-19 in the north stands at 1,048. Five people have died.
