Coronavirus: Lakatamia municipality to operate by appointment only

The Lakatamia municipality will operate only by appointment until further notice, it announced on Monday.

According to the announcement, the decision has been made to protect the public and staff following an increased number of coronavirus cases.

The public is requested to contact officials by phone or e-mail to arrange an appointment, while the municipal fund and the citizens service centre will operate normally.

All account payments can be made online through our website (www.lakatamia.org.cy), the MyLakatamia municipality application which is available on Google Play and the AppStore, or directly from the JCC website,” the municipality said.

All visitors to the building will have to follow strict protocols while their personal data will be recorded for the purpose of contact tracing.

The municipal library, the linear park, the playgrounds and other open spaces and the multipurpose centre of Lakatamia will operate based on the respective decrees of the ministries and / or services to which they belong. The open schools remain open, provided that the health protocols are observed.

Civil weddings will be held with a limited number of people based on the respective protocols,” the announcement concluded.
