Frederick University and Sistema Cyprus signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of developing relations regarding issues of common interest. The memorandum was signed by Natassa Frederickou, president of the Frederick University council and Nicoletta Polydorou, executive director of Sistema Cyprus. Also present at the meeting was Myria Kkali, co-founder of Sistema Cyprus.
Sistema Cyprus is a non-profit organisation that aims to provide free music education to children and young people through participation in orchestras and choirs. The organisation also aims to promote respect for and recognition of vulnerable population groups.
The two parties will cooperate in the design and drafting of proposals, as well as in the implementation of professional development opportunities, training seminars, interactive workshops and research projects that will benefit the mission of each organisation.
In addition, the students of the university will be able to be involved in the activities of Sistema Cyprus, in order to conduct research in the context of their courses, or to carry out their internship. Sistema students will be able to apply to Frederick University and apply for scholarships according to available plans. Finally, the university will support the actions and activities of Sistema Cyprus in various ways.
