Coronavirus: ten people caught red-handed having a picnic in the woods

The good weather on Boxing Day prompted a group of excursionists to go for a picnic in the area of the Pikni forest in Paphos but it didn’t end well when they were caught in the act by police.

Ten people were booked for violating Covid decrees related to gatherings.

According to the measures in force, gatherings are allowed in public places, parks, squares, dams, picnic areas, beaches and marinas) provided that there are no more than two [ep[le present, not including children.

In Paphos on Saturday, out of 1,021 police checks, 25 individuals were booked for breaking decrees.
