Power meets flight: wakeboarder takes his wildest ride

In this video, Russian wakeboarding star Nikita Martyanov and Kamaz-Master team pilot Anton Shibalov break down the borders between two extreme disciplines: wakeboarding and truck-category motorsports.

In wakeboarding, a rider balances on a short board with foot bindings, while being towed by a motorboat across its wake to perform aerial manoeuvres. The sport thus combines water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques, and requires superhuman precision and athletic agility to perform.

Inspiration for the challenge struck when Nikita saw a picture of a Kamaz truck ripping down a levee across an artificial lake and thought to himself: “What if that mad truck towed me?”

The result was this sheer blast of adrenaline.
