Ledra Street police station reopening on Monday

The Ledra Street police station, which has been closed for months, is reopening on Monday on a 24-hour basis, it was announced.

The move is partly to beef up enforcement of Covid decrees and also “increasing the sense of security of the public” as more officers will be conducing patrols in the old town especially along Ledra, Onasagorou, Rigenis and Trikoupi streets, as well as Solomou and Eleftheria squares.

Officers at the station will not investigate criminal cases, but the public can file complaints there that will be passed on to the relveant police department.
