New political platform to fight corruption

Change Of Course

Socio-political platform Poreia Allagis (Change of Course) launched on Monday and will work in collaboration with the Green Party.

In a statement, the group said it seeks “to unite free-thinking citizens against corruption, vested interests, an eroded justice system and unreliable governance”, citing these as reasons for the shrinking of democracy on the island which has in turn given way to human rights violations.

The platform is open to citizens, organisations and movements wishing to work towards restoring purity, meritocracy and dignity in the political landscape.

It was announced that with the support of the Green Party, Poreia Allagis will seek to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in May.
