Coronavirus: where to get tested on Saturday and Sunday

The health ministry has announced the rapid testing sites for Saturday and Sunday.

The sites will be serving people who will return to their workplaces on February 8 and the general population.

Since all employees returning to their workplaces must be tested, the ministry is offering tests according to the alphabetical order of their surnames as follows:

Employees are urged to adhere to the scheduled dates to avoid overcrowding and inconvenience, and to go to one of the locations below.

All those with a surname starting with Α – Ο (Greek alphabet) and A – R  (Latin alphabet) who have not yet been tested are urged to do so in the next few days as they must present a negative rapid test in order to return to work.

At the same time, the ministry is still running tests for the general population. To better serve everyone, the ministry has arranged for 59 units working on an extended timetable for February 6 to 7, at the following locations:

It is noted that those working in the public and private sector can also undergo a rapid test at the above sites in keeping with the relevant decree on mandatory testing in the workplace, as follows:

  • For businesses/services with up to three employees, everyone must be tested.
  • For businesses/services with four to ten employees, at least four must be tested.
  • For businesses/services with more than 11 employees, at least four or 20 per cent must be tested, depending on how many are employed.
