Cyclist badly injured in crash, driver arrested

A cyclist is in critical condition after a road accident which happened in Limassol shortly after midnight on Friday.

According to police, the 27-year-old cyclist collided with a car driven by a 20-year-old man 15 minutes after midnight on Griva Digeni street.

The 27-year-old was taken to Limassol general hospital where he was diagnosed with a severe brain injury.

Due to the severity of his condition he was transferred to Nicosia hospital.

The driver of the car was arrested to facilitate further investigations.
