Coronavirus: nearly 9,000 checks, 67 booked

Police carried out 8,925 checks aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus from Monday until Tuesday and booked 67 individuals for violations of protocols.

According to a statement, 3,422 inspections were conducted in Nicosia, 579 in Limassol, 1,460 in Larnaca, 962 in Paphos, 992 in Famagusta and 697 in the Morphou district.

As a result, 24 persons were fined in Nicosia, eight in Limassol, 18 in Larnaca, 10 in Paphos, six in Famagusta and one in Morphou.
